Broad expertise is a superpower.

Taste matters more than ever when AI “randomly” answers 7 every time you ask for a number between 1 and 10. It's the perfect time to be a copywriting, design-rooted, code-literate, insatiably-learning product person.

Product leadership.

I've spent 14+ years across design, product, and leadership, including 8+ owning live products.

Most recently I owned Sunday's $30M+ DTC acquisition and onboarding portfolio across Lawn, Pest, and Garden. I ran 60+ experiments in one season (18 became the new control), built a Qualified CVR metric that separated real funnel performance from bot and traffic-mix noise, and led a cross-functional growth group of six senior managers and directors. Before that, as VP of Product & Design at Verblio, I helped scale a bootstrapped marketplace from ~$2M to $12M and built a six-person team with 95% retention.

Now I'm building with AI every day: agents, evals, and small tools that started as a workflow irritation for me or the communities I organize. The playful ones live on GitHub. I've also made the opposite call. When generative AI hit Verblio's writer marketplace in 2022, I kept detection and evaluation in human hands rather than encode a problem that was still shifting.

Range: bootstrapped to venture-backed hypergrowth and pre-IPO. SaaS, marketplace, DTC, subscriptions. Brand designer to VP of Product & Design. PDX → NYC → DEN.

Operating style.

I see my job as making the complicated thing clear enough to act on.

I'm rarely satisfied with the first framing of a problem: I want to know what users need, what the evidence says, what we're assuming, and which constraints are real. I lead close to the work and hold the standard more tightly than the solution, so good people can own the answer and find the ones I wouldn't have. I coach newer PMs into confident, independent product thinkers and give senior people room to grow. I test fast, double down on winners, and pivot from losers, including recommending we pull back on a multi-category flow I shipped myself once the data showed it was costing core conversion.

Background.

I taught myself HTML/CSS on dial-up as a precocious kid in the '90s, learned C++ as one of two girls in class, then switched to graphic design when I missed art. I spent years designing brands and experiences at hypergrowth Tough Mudder and Blue Apron before critique kept pulling me upstream into UX, then product, then organizational leadership. The object of design keeps getting bigger and more diverse for me but the fundamentals remain the same.

I also apparently product-manage vacations. There is a Burning Man spreadsheet.

Elsewhere.

I'm a serial hobby acquirer. Beyond the AI obsession, this summer I was deep in lap swimming and American mahjong. I also organize Denver's Amuse-Bouche foodie collective and the Setlist Social indie music group. You may find me on the slopes, haunting repertory screenings and gallery openings, gaming around a table with friends, or reading my way to 52 books a year.
